Updates
Categories: Unify, 2020.4
The release of Unify 20.4 introduces process, implementation and efficiency improvements for the following features:
Installation and Implementation
The Unify platform can be delivered with a config app.
ETL Updates and Improvements
Additional notifications added and import templates can now be toggled on or off to improve data management.
Raw, uncleansed addresses are now retained.
Contact Us/ Conversation Manager
Improved handling of preference centre interfaces and contact us forms.
Extended Unify Email Transactions
Addition of a group of standard fields for Unify Email Transactions to make Loading in Email Event types easier for new implementations.
Pivot Enhancements
Changing transaction types now adds options for when this pivot will rebuild. Options for:
- Full rebuilds,
- Incremental builds
- At different data levels (person, site, company, org)
This feature also incorporates a tickbox to include in Engage (will push through via UNIT, pending UNIT automation).
Clients must specify which day of the week this will build (must be a weekly build or not at all).
Security Improvements
With the release of .NET 4.8, security amendments may result in limitations on what files can be attached to an individual.
SQL Comparison
A new Update option for self-service updates allows a BlueVenn admin to compare their current version of Unify DB to the latest release.
Selecting database objects will compare the unify DB objects to the correct and supported DB objects, providing a list of:
- all objects that will be carried across during an upgrade
- all objects that will be dropped during an upgrade
Google Analytics
The free version of Google Analytics doesn't allow access to raw data. 360 (Enterprise) version provides data and permissions, granting Unify access to the data via Datasync connector.
Google BigQuery
Unify now includes functionality to incorporate Google BigQuery data. However, as all Google BigQuery data is bespoke (there is no templated data to copy from), each client will require unique configuration.
Uses an on-demand charging model based on the amount of data processed by each query.
Microsoft Dynamics 365
Unify now includes functionality to incorporate Microsoft Dynamics data. However, as there are different versions of Microsoft Dynamics, containing over 400 standard tables and over 14k data fields, each client will require unique configuration.
